![]() My 2005 Honda Odyssey has been going strong for 10 years! Mechanical breakdowns have been nonexistent (except for a dead battery). The problem with leather is always that it dries out and cracks and we see none of that with this vehicle.Īll in all we are very satisfied and in a few years will buy another newer van as we are very impressed with the Honda experience. ![]() Even after 10 years and 180000 miles the leather is in great shape with only a couple of problems-a lot fewer than we would expect. We're looking forward to going to the drive-through animal safari too. This is great for when we want to experience a cool day or a great view with the kids while we're driving. One thing that we really like though it's a small thing is that the windows in the sliding doors roll down, a feature that our last van did not have. It's probably not a big deal in the long run but an annoyance nonetheless that we have to put up with for the sake of fuel economy. To replace these mounts at a dealership runs over a thousand dollars due to the amount of labor required plus the large costs of parts from Honda. The mounts eventually leak causing excessive engine vibration and clunking that detracts from the overall experience. One issue we have with this vehicle is that it has two hydraulic motor mounts which are recurring problem with the Touring model and its engine economy mode. It's also the party vehicle for when the wife and her friends go out on the town, a role it is especially suited for with its deeply tinted windows and electric remote sliding doors. ![]() We've taken it on a couple of long day trips and it is easy to drive and comfortable for occupants with its three zone climate control. This one has not disappointed especially since it is fully loaded with leather, navigation, heated seats and video screens. We bought this vehicle this year after having a 2001 model for 6 years ending up with 295000 miles. ![]()
