The gift shop was a joke how much things cost. Now the cons: the best way I can describe this place is "expensive for the sake of being expensive". Bartender Geno is a character and made $12 drinks seem almost worth the price. When you walk the property everybody is so friendly. Turn down service was a nice touch (albeit unnecessary). Even folded some clothes I had left on the floor. This hotel had an extremely high quality to it (I will explain in further detail) but I felt for the money it cost you were just simply not getting enough.įirst, the pros: Service was exceptional. To me, value can be represented as an equation: quality / price = value. Service as always at the Ritz goes above and beyond. Housekeeping also did a great job taking care of our room and I enjoyed one of the best massages I've ever had at the Spa. It's a beautiful resort with wonderful pools, beach, fitness room & boutiques but the staff make it the outstanding hotel it is. I appreciated that if they could not answer a question they would always offer to get the information I needed. The staff at both work hard, always with a smile. We spent some days at the adult pool but most days at the beach. The complimentary food and drink offerings are definitely a bonus for us although we enjoyed all the restaurants and bars at the resort and in Miami and Key Biscayne. It feels so much more personal seeing the same staff throughout your stay. We've been to quite a few other Ritz Carlton hotels and always chose to stay in a club lounge room. Even helping us to narrow down the extensive list of great places to eat and be entertained in Miami:) They answered all of our many questions and offered great recommendations. They are always friendly yet professional and we enjoyed getting to know them a little bit. Rashaad, Lisa, Bianca, Rafael, Myeisha, Mike & Dylan, in no particular order! The exceptional service they provided us during our stay made it a vacation we won't soon forget. We would like to give a special thanks to the staff in the Club Lounge. To our delight, when we arrived, they checked us into an Oceanfront 1 Bedroom Suite with separate living area and sofa bed with Club Lounge access and said we would be staying there for our entire stay. We had trouble booking the same room category and without the help of the Area Reservations Director, Lindsey, we would have had to change rooms 3 or 4 times during out stay.
